The “Belt and Road” E-commerce Seminar, sponsored by China Council for International Investment Promotion (CCIIP), was held during China International Forum on Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen on 9th September. The seminar attracted over 150 officials and entrepreneurs from around 20 BRI countries. Jumore E-commerce, being the president of the E-commerce Working Committee of CCIIP and a leading player in the B2B E-commerce sector, was the main organizer of the event. Mr. LU Hongxiang, chairman of Jumore E-commerce, delivered a keynote speech at the seminar as chairman of this working committee.
Mr. LUshared the latest developments of e-commerce in China and the upcoming trends of the sector in the years to come. He echoed what President Xi Jinping expressed at the first China International Import Expo held last November that China will import US$ 30 trillion worth of commodities and purchase US$ 10 trillion worth of services in the coming 15 years. The huge purchasing power will definitely bring significant business opportunities to BRI countries. Jumore, as a global B2B digital trade platform, is expected to become the digital gateway to the Chinese market.
E-commerce will play a major role in boosting trade between China and BRI countries. Jumore has created an innovative cooperation model to co-build regional digital platforms with local stakeholders. Active progress has been made in pivotal countries like Turkey, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, UAE and Panama. Jumore welcomes BRI business leaders to participate in such win-win partnerships and share the benefits of digital economy.
Officials from China’s Ministry of Commerce and BRI countries and experts from leading payners in the e-commerce industry also shared their insights on e-commerce development in China and BRI countries.
