Ambassador of Indonesia to China Visits JUMORE to Boost Cooperation in Digital Economy

With digital economy sweeping the world, innovation has become the key word for China-Indonesia cooperation.On August 16, Djauhari Oratmangun, ambassador of Indonesia to China and Mongolia,visits JUMORE and the two sides conduct in-depth discussion surrounding such issues as digital trade, the construction of localized digital platforms.

Indonesia is the biggest country of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), one of the major nickel ore exporters, and has a variety of bulk commodities and raw materials for industrial manufacturing. In recent years, China has been the largest trading partner of Indonesia, and the two sides have maintained close cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, energy resources, finance and etc. In 2017, China-Indonesia trade volume spiked by 18.3% year-on-year and hit a record high of $63.3 billion. As an country along the Belt and Road, Indonesia believes that China has great market potential, and hopes for opportunities to cooperate with Chinese enterprises in digital industry. As a digital platform for global supply chains, by giving full use of its advantages, JUMORE can contribute to empowering Indonesia for its digital economic development. In addition, through the digital bridge, “made-in-China” and “Chinese brand” can march into Indonesian market more efficiently, and vice versa, “made-in-Indonesia” and “Indonesian brand” can enter Chinese market at a faster pace.

During the meeting, JUMORE chairman Eric Lu explains to Djauhari Oratmangun  the distinctions between JUMORE and traditional e-commerce platforms and its cooperation in the construction of localized digital platform with Middle Eastern countries and Latin American countries. Eric Lu says that, as a digital platform covering the whole range of industrial chains and whole-process services for supply chains, JUMORE would like to conduct comprehensive cooperation with Indonesian enterprises in various industries, and suggestions and advice from the ambassador on such cooperation will be highly appreciated.

Djauhari Oratmangun says that, Indonesia now has about 100,000,000 netizens, who brew huge potential for digital economic development. Indonesian enterprises are looking forward to cooperation with JUMORE in digital economy. Djauhari Oratmangun also  welcomes JUMORE to business activities that are scheduled for late August and September, to have closer dialogues with local enterprises. In addition, Djauhari Oratmangun points out that, Indonesian President will be paying a visit to China soon, this presents an opportunity for him to let more Indonesian enterprises get know about JUMORE, and promote cooperation between these enterprises.
